BambooSMP server rules

Three rules cover almost everything, and the sections below fill in the details.

• Don't ruin someone else's day: no griefing, stealing, scamming or harassment.
• Play fair: no cheats, exploits, lag machines, or an alt used to get around limits.
• Keep chat friendly and family-safe. People log in here to relax.

• Claim and build at least 200 blocks from someone else's claim unless they invite you closer.
• Never break, take from, change or build onto another player's build without permission. That includes "improvements".
• Public farms are shared. Use them, restock them, and leave the redstone alone.
• Abandoned builds stay standing. Ask staff before clearing anything you did not build.
• Nothing lag-inducing: no mob grinders left running unattended, no oversized flying machines, no chunk-loader stacking.

• No hacked clients, x-ray, macros, or auto-clickers. Minimaps without cave/entity radar are fine.
• No duplication or item exploits. If you find one, report it. You will not be punished for reporting.
• One alt per player. Telling staff which account is your alt is recommended. No leaderboards, quests, teams, rewards or trades on it, and no handing items to or from it.
• No AFK machines, pools or any setup that farms playtime rewards while you are away.
• PvP is off by default and only ever with consent. Killing someone who did not agree means returning their items.

• No slurs, harassment, hate speech or discrimination of any kind, not even as a joke. You will be muted and then banned; a new account is banned on the spot.
• No NSFW, political, religious or otherwise triggering topics, in chat or voice.
• Keep it all-ages: no explicit content in chat, builds, skins, or names.
• No spam, no advertising other servers, no scam links, and never share personal information, yours or anyone else's.
• English in public chat. Other languages are welcome in private messages.
• Disagreements happen. Take heated ones to DMs or to staff, not to global chat.

• No scamming in trades, shops or orders.
• No real-money trading outside the official store.
• Everything in the store is cosmetic, convenience, or currency. Nothing sold gives a combat or progression advantage.
• Purchases are one-time. There is no subscription to cancel.
• Purchases deliver automatically within a couple of minutes. If something does not arrive, open a ticket with your transaction ID.
• Chargebacks result in a permanent ban across the network. If there is a problem, talk to us first. We would rather fix it.
• Being banned does not entitle you to a refund on past purchases.

Staff apply these with common sense. Most first offences get a warning.

• Punishments go from a warning to a temporary mute or ban, then a permanent ban, depending on severity and history.
• Cheating and griefing at scale skip straight to a permanent ban. Hate speech is muted and then banned; on a new account it is a ban at once.
• Do not evade a punishment: no new accounts while banned, no other channels while muted.
• Appeals happen in Discord. Being honest about what happened helps your case.
• Staff decisions can be appealed, but arguing in global chat is not the way to do it.
