How to join BambooSMP

See you in the jungle. It's three steps and about a minute, and if you copied the address up top, that was step one.

  2. Add it in Minecraft

    Multiplayer → Add Server → paste. Bedrock players use the same address with port 19132.

BambooSMP FAQ: questions people ask before joining

Is there a whitelist or an application?

No. Add play.bamboosmp.com in Multiplayer and join. The only rules are the ones on the rules page: be decent, don't grief, don't be toxic.

Can I play on Bedrock?

Yes. Bedrock players connect through Geyser with the same address and port 19132. Your name shows with a dot in front, so nobody can take over a Java name.

How to join on Bedrock

Does the world ever reset?

No seasonal wipes and no resets. Your base is still there after a break.

Is it pay-to-win?

No. Coins buy cosmetics and conveniences through /coinshop. Nothing in the store gives power over other players.

How ranks and rewards work

What happens if someone griefs my build?

Grief protection stops most of it, and staff roll back anything that gets through. Report it in the Discord and they'll sort it out.

What is the BambooSMP server IP?

The address is play.bamboosmp.com. Java players add it in Multiplayer; Bedrock players use the same address with port 19132.

Is BambooSMP free to play?

Yes. Playing is free and nothing in the store is needed to play. The store sells cosmetics and coins for /coinshop.

Which Minecraft versions can join?

Java Edition 26.2, and Bedrock Edition through Geyser on the same address.

Is PvP on?

PvP is off by default and only ever happens with consent. Killing someone who didn't agree means giving their items back.

Is BambooSMP family-friendly?

Yes. Chat, builds, skins and names stay all-ages, and staff mute and ban for slurs, harassment and explicit content. Buying from the store needs someone aged 16 or over.

What do I get for voting?

Every vote gives you free coins, in-game money, keys and cosmetics, and counts towards the next piñata party, which drops free rewards for everyone online.

Who runs BambooSMP?

Mulaiya started BambooSMP in spring 2026 as a practice server with a few friends, and still runs it today. The first players found it in early September 2026.

Is BambooSMP the same server as bamboosmp.net?

No, they're two different Minecraft servers that happen to share a name. This one is at play.bamboosmp.com; the other is at bamboosmp.net. They aren't connected, but both are great communities, so check the address to make sure you join the one you meant.
